How to Clean the Air in Your Home Plant Ideas for Bedrooms

As I have written in earlier posts, I have plants in every room of my home. They are visually appealing and air quality is really important for a good nights sleep.

Are you looking for plant ideas for your bedroom? Air quality is important in all rooms of the home, but it’s especially crucial in the room where we spend most of our time. Whether you’re trying to increase air quality or purify the air, there are a number of indoor plants that will work well in bedrooms and other areas. In this blog post, we’ll discuss plant ideas for bedrooms and give some plant suggestions!

How do plants purify the air?

Plants are one of the best ways to purify the air in homes, offices, and other areas and improve that indoor air quality. They absorb carbon dioxide during photosynthesis- plant food is essential for growth here! Carbon dioxide isn’t good for us to breathe. If there’s too much carbon dioxide floating around that room or space then it makes breathing harder (especially if you have asthma).

The plant’s leaves also release oxygen- this is essential for us to breathe. Oxygen helps with brain function and memory, too! Without it, we’d be pretty out of whack all the time. Oxygen makes sure that our hearts are pumping at a regular rate so everything functions correctly in our bodies while using less energy to do so.

What are the best plants for the bedroom?

Now we know how plants can help purify the air and make it better, let’s take a look at some of the best candidates to add in your bedroom.

Peace Lily– this plant is great for bedrooms because it’s easy to care for and purifies the air. Place three of these plants together since they grow quickly and can fill up a larger space, or place one plant by itself if you have just a small area.

Spider plant- these are another great plant that’s easy to care for. Spider plants work well in hanging baskets since they can grow long vines and drape down like a curtain of green leaves. It works especially well if you’re trying to fill up space with plant ideas for bedrooms because it has this unique shape!

Chinese evergreen– this plant is great for the bedroom because it absorbs toxins and chemicals. If you’ve recently painted your walls but are worried about breathing in those fumes then place these plants around to help absorb them.

Giant Dracaena– another plant that’s perfect for bedrooms or offices! This plant releases oxygen at night, so if you’re someone who works overnight then this plant is perfect for you! It can also help with air quality in the bedroom, too.

Snake plant– if you’re looking for plant ideas for bedrooms that are really easy to care for, look no further than a snake plant. This plant doesn’t need much light or water and it works well in places like bathrooms where the air is moist. It’s a plant that you can neglect and still flourish- if anything, it will get bushier!

Areca Palm– the last plant idea for bedrooms we’re going to mention here is an easy one: an Areca palm or this plant work well in areas where there isn’t much natural or bright light shining through. They do well in a corner or in the darkest spot of the room.

Does it matter where in the bedroom you put plants?

One last plant idea for bedroom plants we want to mention is whether or not you should place plants on the floor, on your desk/table- anywhere! We think it doesn’t really matter where you put them.

The most important thing about plant ideas for bedrooms is that they’re there and more than one potted plant makes a huge difference in air quality, oxygen levels, and plant health.
